As dental implant professionals with years of knowledge and training when it comes to dental implants, at North Down Implant and Orthodontic Clinic, we can help our patients achieve the smile and oral health they deserve through dental implants. Living with missing or severely damaged teeth can affect a patient’s overall oral health, as well as their day-to-day life and their smile. We’re passionate about helping patients achieve a lifetime of good oral health, and thanks to our conversance and skills in implants, we are proud to receive referrals and provide this life-changing treatment to those who most need it.
A wide range of dental implant options are available, depending on each patient’s needs and oral health history. At North Down Implant and Orthodontic Clinic, we offer single-tooth dental implants for patients missing just one tooth and All-on-four/All-on-six dental implants for those missing up to a whole arch of teeth. We can also offer full mouth rehabilitation for patients presenting with multiple missing teeth and other complex issues.
Our treatments include sedation during all dental implant treatments, so you know you’ll be calm, comfortable, and pain-free throughout. By providing everything from consultation to application and follow-up appointments under one roof, North Down Implant and Orthodontic Clinic makes the dental implant journey simple and streamlined. Our highly trained team will be able to answer any questions or concerns you might have, while our calming, relaxing practice will help you feel confident and at ease whenever you visit us here.
1. Consultation
You’ll have an in-depth consultation with a member of our professional dental implant team, during which we’ll carry out a full exam and assessment of your mouth to make sure you’re a good candidate for dental implants. We’ll talk through all your options and offer an outline of the treatment journey time and estimated costs involved. You’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have, and we’ll be able to get to know you as a patient.
2. Plan
We’ll use a range of innovative digital scans to fully assess your mouth and plan the most accurate and precise placement or placements for your dental implants. This allows for a much more comfortable treatment and precisely predicted outcomes for the patient. At this time, we’ll also carry out any preparatory treatment that might be necessary – this could include a tooth extraction, for example, or, in some cases, a bone graft.
3. Fitting
During your fitting, we’ll ensure you’re comfortable and pain-free with local anaesthetic and sedation. Our highly skilled implantologist will place the titanium metal screws in the desired position and then apply a temporary tooth or teeth as necessary. This treatment will take 3-6 months to fully heal, at which point we can place your personal prosthetic.
